“We specialize in diversity, growing 280 varieties of fruit, vegetables and medicinal herbs on 8 acres of land. Over the years we’ve hosted more than 500 global volunteers through World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms,” says Ann Lanigan. She and her husband Mike, along with farm partner Bill Orosz, have spent “3 whole years eating locally.” Their permaculture “forest” garden is full of annuals, perennials, raised beds, fruit trees and people-friendly paths. Connecting with the soil, trees and plants balances Ann’s life, feeds her soul and “gives us something we can share with the best customers in the world.”
Simple Thyme Organic Farm produces 280 standard, exotic, and heirloom varieties of fruit, vegetables, and medicinal herbs along with farm-produced maple syrup, some grains and more.
