A promising study, conducted on rats, found that by increasing chlorophyll rich plants, the cytotoxicity associated with red meat couldn’t metabolize, decreasing the risk of colon cancer.

 

The risk of developing liver cancer also goes down thanks to this green pigment. The lowered risk is thanks to it helping the body excrete aflatoxin, which could otherwise lead to the development of liver tumours. These are toxins that can easily enter the body via moldy grains and legumes.
